*Mr Fadista, Mr Baerenkind, River, and Mr Gone all composed their own excellent drum parts and diligently recorded them.
Ms Parker improvised her wonderful fiddle part at the end of ‘hidden folk’.
Peter Knott wrote several improvised parts for the trumpet parts on ‘Wastrel’, and ‘Breakfast’… and for the saxophone parts on ‘Actual Walls’
Thanks be to the 8 musicians who skilfully, generously and kindly helped me make the album, and their acceptance of my faith in live undoctored recording. (Contact and hear Snr. Fadista here: alexfadista.bandcamp.com )
I am amazed at the skill of the three youngest musicians- Bella is 13, Peter, 15 , and Eve was 17, at the time of recording their playing.
Also, thanks be to my pals Luke Buxton and Conor Flello for their support and kindness.
Agus buíochas leis an gcaptaen.
(inspiring light, and dear correspondent).

The photograph- of discarded carapaces of shore crabs, which are placed on a piece of white paper,- is by Roo.
[To add to the theme of ‘nine’ galore, over the course of my albums, there are 9 tongues sung:
modern english, irish cant, gaeilge, cymraeg, francais, עברית ,middle english, kernewek, and scots
The crab circles are of 9 crabs and 11 crabs respectively…i was born on the 9th of November ’81…this is a mere happy coincidence, as I collected and latterly arranged the crab shells without forethought and without counting them. There were thousands that were strewn on the riverbank by our tidal river here.]
